Evergreen Holdings manages a group of companies in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Over the past three decades, we’ve built a sustainable private forestry company invested at every step of the timber value chain, from our forests and sawmill to mechanised harvesting services.
We import, export, source and supply timber products to the furniture, construction, wood chip and pulp sectors both within South Africa and beyond. Evergreen Holdings is diversified into real estate, manufacturing and private finance to ensure we are built to last.

Our forestry business is increasingly focused on furniture-quality pine logs grown at 24-year cycles to ensure the highest quality lumber is delivered. To grow timber of the highest quality takes knowledge, focus and a process that maximises the value of the growing asset. This commitment to the long term is reflected in all areas of our business. Evergreen Holdings is a founding member of Chapter 2, a non-profit established in 2012 to bridge the gap between South Africa’s potential for greatness, and the resources its young people need to realise it.

Evergreen Forestry is a vertically integrated, sustainably focused forestry company managing seven plantations across the KZN Midlands. Evergreen Forestry grows its own trees for pulp and sawmilling, with an increasing focus on the sawmilling value chain.
